This is an instant tent meaning that you will not need to attach poles or anything else. All the poles remain attached to the tent fabric and simply snap into place.
Additionally, there is no need to add on a rainfly. The rainfly is integrated into the tent fabric and so once you snap all the poles into place, you are ready to go. There are a couple of storage pockets on the inside of the tent but other than those this is a pretty standard tent. The simplicity of the tent is actually a really nice feature because you don’t need to worry about setting up or utilizing any other features.

This 6 person tent includes a removable rainfly, which makes the tent more versatile for different weather conditions. When the temperature is warmer without rain, you can remove the rainfly and enjoy the night sky. When the weather is a little cooler or there might be rain, you can attach the rainfly to stay dry and warm.

Outside of the screened room, the main part of the tent is basically a standard dome tent. This makes the tent pretty easy to set up as there are only 2 poles for the main section and only 1 additional pole for the screened room.
The main tent is a typical size of 10′ x 9′ but the screened room gives you an additional space of 10′ x 5′. This is a great space for storing gear, relaxing in the shade, and as a place to take off dirty shoes before going into the tent. While the screen room is partially covered by the rainfly, it is not completely covered. Meaning, that if it does rain the screen room will not stay completely dry.

Additionally, the 6 person version of the WeatherMaster tent comes with an attached screen room. This is great for relaxing in a beg free area as well as having a cool and shaded area for warm sunny days.
The tent also come with a few other feature that are not essential but are really nice to have. Our favorite is a hinged door. Having a hinged door is really nice for when you need to go in and out of tenth throughout the day. It will keep bugs out while not having to zip and unzip the tent multiple times throughout the day. This is a well-made tent that gives you some awesome features and that will stand up to some heavier usage.

There are two areas where this tent does shine. The first area is the weight. At only 20lbs, this tent is lighter than many of its competitors. The second area where it shines is affordability. This tent is made with one center pole, which gives you 8′ 5″ feet of headspace at it’s highest point. Similarly, with a door height of 67″ getting in and out of the tent is easier than many other tents that have smaller doors.
This tent has a footprint of 10′ x 10′ so there is plenty of room inside the tent for sleeping as well as some extra gear. The Outback Lodge series also does well in warm weather.
