The Final Say: This is a great pocket flashlight that offers a lot of light in a compact size. The Olight i5T EOS flashlight is a great option for anyone looking for a light that is easy to carry around in your pocket but will still produce a decent amount of light.

The flashlight is very well made and will be able to handle even rough use. The only real downside to this flashlight is that it will only stay on high (300 lumens) for 3 minutes before it automatically drops down to 150 lumens. Overall, it is a great flashlight to use in quick and close settings.

The Full Review

Brightness

The Olight i5T EOS Brass flashlight produces a decent amount of light for its size. There are definitely other small flashlights that produce more light but this flashlight produces enough for almost all situations. The light that is produced is very crisp and white, which makes seeing in the dark easy.

This flashlight has only two modes, high and low. On high the i5T EOS Brass will produce 300 lumens, which is plenty of light for right around camp, inside your tent as you’re going to bed, or any other typical use situation. On low, the flashlight produces 15 lumens, which isn’t a lot but makes it a great option when you only need a little light. Like in the middle of the night when you need to get up but don’t want to wake everyone else up.

Size

This is a great sized flashlight. It easily fits in your pocket and won’t be noticed even with other items in your pocket. When holding it in your hand, it can easily be held without getting heavy or uncomfortable to hold.

If you prefer a slightly larger flashlight, then this is not an option for you but if you want one that you can carry in your pocket or on your belt without it getting in the way, then this is a great size.

Durability

This is a very well made flashlight. You can tell as soon as you pick it up that it is a well-constructed flashlight. It is made from solid brass and can take a beating. This is not one of those flashlights that you’ll be afraid of breaking if it happens to drop. It is very well built and will last for years to come.

Run Time

Run time is the only area that I feel the i5T EOS might lack a little. On low, the flashlight will run for 20 hours, which is great but the problem comes into play when you run it on high.

When you turn the flashlight on high it will only run for 3 minutes before it automatically reduces the output to 50%. It will run at that level for 25 minutes and then will automatically reduce the output to 10%, which is low and will run for an additional 122min.

This is a built-in feature that helps to preserve the life of the battery. The only problem I have with it is that I want to option to use the entire battery on high if I’d like to. The way it is set up, you don’t even have the option to use high for more than 3 minutes.

Extras/Features

The flashlight does not come with many extras. The only things it comes with is a belt clip, which is nice to have, and an included battery. You don’t need anything else to make the flashlight work, but if you want some cool extra features, this flashlight probably won’t have what you are looking for.

With that being said, I feel this is a great flashlight for its size and price point.
