This BougeRV 30Q Portal Refrigerator is a great option for those that want an easy way to keep food cold or even frozen while camping. With this refrigerator, you don’t need to worry about bringing ice or worry about the ice melting before the end of your camping trip.

The only caveat to this fridge is that you will need access to electricity. This can be accomplished with a campsite that has an electrical connection, a car battery, or even a solar panel.

If you have access to electricity, this is a great option for keeping food cold or even frozen during your campintrip.

Portability

This refrigerator was built for the purpose of portability. It can run off of either a standard outlet or a 12v car power outlet. What makes this fridge super portable is when you pair it with a portable power station and solar panel. This would allow you to run the fridge without the need for a standard connection.

Overall Size

The BougeRV 30Q portal refrigerator is relatively small and easy to transport. With dimensions of roughly 23″ x 13″ x 16″, this fridge does not take up much space. Additionally, with an empty weight of 23lbs, this is not a very heavy fridge and can easily be carried by one person.

Storage Capacity

With a storage compacity of 30 quarts, this is not the biggest option when it comes to food storage. Ultimately, because of its smaller size, this typically will not remove the need for a standard ice chest.

For our longer camping trips, we will still bring our larger ice chest as well as the BougeRV 30Q portal refrigerator. We’ll use the portable fridge for the items that either need to stay frozen or are more sensitive to getting a little warmer.

Features/Extras

This fridge does not have every possible feature, but the ones it has are good ones. First, it can be used as a fridge or a freezer. The temperature can be changed to only keep items cool or lowered below freezing to keep items frozen.

Additionally, the fridge has a battery protection feature. When running off of a battery, it monitors the output and will automatically prevent itself from consuming too much from the battery and leaving it dead.

Another great feature included is Max and ECO mode. When plugged into a normal outlet, Max mode will quickly cool down the fridge and run at full capacity. On ECO mode, the fridge will run on less power allowing the fridge to run longer on a battery or indefinitely on a solar panel.

Durability

BougeRV did not skimp on quality when building this portable fridge. This is a portable fridge and was built to handle being moved from location to location and everything that comes with that. The shockproof design allows the fridge to be tilted up to 30 degrees with no issues in performance.
