The Final Say: The Wuben F5 Power Bank Camping Light is a great light for those wanting a light that is great at lighting up large areas. This flashlight functions more like a traditional lantern where it lights large areas but not very far away.

This is a great option as an alternative to a lantern and offers some extra benefits of being able to project light straight down, unlike lanterns that only project light to the sides.

Overall, the Wuben F5 Power Bank Camping Light is a great light for its intended purpose but not the best all-around light. The light does a great job and a large area at close range. With that being said, it does not penetrate very deep/far away.

Our favorite place to use this light is inside our tent. We hang it up in the center of the tent with the included clip. The ring on the back of the light has a stiff enough hinge that we can angle it in whatever direction we light. It is an excellent alternative to a lantern-style light.

Brightness

This flashlight has three different brightness settings, with the brightest setting producing 500 lumens, medium producing 140 lumens, and low producing 10 lumens. This makes it nice to find the correct brightness for your location and needs.

Additionally, there are three color temperatures to choose from. This is a nice feature because it can produce white light when you need to see clearly and softer yellow light when you don’t want the light as intense.

Size

The size of the light is suitable for stationary use. It is small enough to use in almost any location easily but large enough to light a big area. With that being said, the size is bigger than what you’d want if you plan on regularly carrying the light around.

While the light is small enough to carry in your hand, that is not the intended purpose for the light and not something that would be comfortable for an extended amount of time.

Durability

The light is built well and doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy. The plastic used feels sturdy, and the ring and hinge on the back feel very solid. While the construction is good, this is not a light intended to take a lot of abuse. You would be able to crack the front cover if you were too rough with it.

Run Time

On the high setting, the Wuben F5 Power Bank Camping Light can last for 10 hours. It will initially produce 500 lumens for 5 minutes and then automatically dim to 300 lumens to save battery. 

The light will last for up to 20 hours on the medium setting. This is a good amount of time as the medium setting is what we most often use, so it’ll typically last through a multiday camping trip.

On low, the light can last for up to 190 hours. This is a very long time, but we don’t use the light on low very much, to be honest. We use it in the tent as we put the kids to bed, but my wife and I still need to stay up with a little bit of light.

Extras/Features

The flashlight does come with a few extras that are nice to have. It includes the charging cable as well as a lanyard. In addition to that, it also includes a double-sided carabiner that we use to hand the light. We like this small extra because it makes mounting the light ver easy.

Another great feature that it includes is the ability to charge other devices. A USB port on the side allows you to charge devices like phones, other lights, or small electronics. Of course, the batter isn’t super large, so it won’t be able to charge a lot, but it’s nice to have that little extra when you need it.
